Compost Bin Voucher Program

The County of San Diego has partnered with Dixieline ProBuild in Escondido to provide discounted compost bins to unincorporated County residents. Please submit an application according to the instructions below for address qualification. Upon qualification, residents will receive their compost bin voucher to redeem at the Dixieline ProBuild in Escondido. Additional Dixieline ProBuild locations may be added as participating locations at a later date.

Find out if you live in the unincorporated area of the County

Unincorporated Area Map - put your address in the upper right hand search box of the map. Orange indicates you are in the unincorporated area, grey means you are in a city. However, many cities offer compost bin vouchers to their residents and we encourage you to contact your jurisdiction to see what they offer!

Unincorporated Area residents may submit an application with the following steps:

STEP 2: RECEIVE VOUCHER FROM COUNTY STAFF 


County staff will process application, ensure residency and send out the voucher.

Note: Emailed and online applications are able to be processed more quickly.
