Golf Club Drive Green Street
Project
Water Quality Project | Construction start September 2026

The County of San Diego is planning improvements along Golf Club Drive and part of Old River Road in Bonsall to make the area cleaner, safer, and easier to walk. This project will add new landscaped areas that naturally clean stormwater, install devices that capture trash before it reaches local creeks, and build a new sidewalk with green areas so people can walk safely along the road.
New stormwater features will filter runoff and help protect Moosa Creek and the San Luis Rey River.
The San Luis Rey Watershed is affected by bacteria. Learn more on Project Clean Water.

Construction: What to Expect
Construction is estimated to begin Fall 2026 and is expected to be complete in 2027.
Please note that construction dates are subject to change due to compliance requirements, inclement weather, and/or other unforeseen circumstances.
During construction, the County will make every effort to minimize disruptions in the surrounding area. While most work will occur within the public road right-of-way, temporary access to private property will be needed in some cases. There will be temporary impacts to utilities, and to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Traffic control measures, including signage placed prior to and during construction, will be implemented to ensure the safety of our customers.
