Line

Located along San Marino Drive, this project cleans stormwater runoff and improves walkability in North County Metro.

SanMarino_Before

Before This Project

  • Runoff along San Marino Drive carried pollutants into the storm drain system, impacting local waterways.
  • Sidewalk gaps reduced safety and walkability.
SanMarino_After

After This Project

  • Multiple biofiltration basins (rain gardens) planted with native landscaping filter pollutants from runoff and discharge cleaner water to the storm drain system, helping keep waterways clean.
  • A new sidewalk closes the existing gap, improving walkability.
  • A new underground trash capture device removes trash and debris before they enter local waterways and communities.
