Behavioral Health Services Act Community Planning Ad-Hoc Subcommittee

To enhance San Diego County's Community Planning Process for the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), community members were recruited to collaborate with members of the BHAB through this temporary subcommittee focused on expanding awareness of the BHSA, enhancing the local CPP, and promoting upcoming Public Comment opportunities for the first BHSA Integrated Plan for 2026-2029.

Participants are helping to design and strategize community education and CPP activities, reviewing materials, recommending outreach and promotion approaches, sharing about engagement and Public Comment opportunities with other stakeholders in their Supervisorial District, and supporting implementation of district-specific presentations.

Initial, virtual meetings are being held January-May 2026, leading up to the presentation of the proposed final plan to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. Final Subcommittee Member selection was made by the BHAB Executive Committee to ensure balanced representation, alignment with the subcommittee’s goals, and fit for the subcommittee’s limited duration.
