Flood Control Grant Project - Cottonwood Creek: Outreach

Outreach Efforts Help Increase Community Awareness for Invasive Plants

As a component of the project, efforts are being made to help spread community awareness of Invasive Plants throughout the Tijuana River Watershed. This includes information on how projects such as this one can help improve the environment.

Information has been presented to several public groups addressing the project goals, design, and long-term benefits of the project. These have included the Tijuana Watershed Urban Runoff Management Program (WURMP) Workgroup, Fiesta Del Rio in Imperial Beach, and the Chemistry Club at South Western Community College.

Additional outreach components have included the creation of this website.
