What is the Green Infrastructure Program?

The Program is funded by the County of San Diego Watershed Protection Program, who works to prevent pollutants from entering our waterways.

 

Completed Projects

Los Coches Dry Weather Diversion Pilot Project

Los Coches Road Dry Weather Diversion Pilot Project

Removes trash from local waterways and adds an estimated 1.3 million gallons to local water supplies per year.

Mapleview

Mapleview Street Biofiltration and Channel Restoration Project

Improves water quality and enhances pedestrian safety and mobility.

Estrella County Park

Estrella County Park Biofiltration and Trash Capture Project

Removes trash and pollutants to improve stormwater runoff while enhancing an existing community park.

San Marino Drive

San Marino Drive Green Street and Trash Capture Project

Improves water quality and enhances pedestrian safety and mobility.

Riverside Dr

Riverside Drive Channel Restoration Project

Improves infiltration of low-flow runoff.

Sweetwater Lane

Sweetwater Lane Trash Capture Project

Removes approximately 256 gallons of trash to tributaries of the Sweetwater River each year.

Goldentop Road Modular Wetland and Trash Capture Project

Will remove approximately 1,000 gallons of trash from our water ways annually, and target other pollutants such as bacteria.

Will remove pollutants such as nitrogen and phosphorous while enhancing pedestrian and vehicle safety and mobility.

South Mission Road N Phase 1

South Mission Road (North) Green Street Project Phase 1 of 2 

Will target pollutants such as trash and bacteria while enhancing pedestrian and vehicle safety and mobility.

4S Ranch Park

4S Ranch Park Biofiltration Project

Will improve water quality by targetting bacteria.
