Zoning and Regulatory Code Updates

Planning and Development Services (PDS) makes sure land use rules in unincorporated areas stay current. Regular updates the Zoning Ordinance and other regulations are evaluated to make the permit process easier, clarify regulations and keep local laws in line with State requirements.  You can find active and recently approved zoning changes and other active planning efforts at the links below.

Please note*:  PDS zoning and regulatory updates involve multiple divisions and County departments, however, the below ‘Active Projects’ and ‘Completed Projects’ are specific to Long Range Planning & Housing Division projects

Our staff will review every submission and let you know the outcome.  Please note:  Not all suggestions will move forward into future code changes. If a suggestion cannot be supported, we will let you know. If your idea relates to another County department, we will forward it to the right team.
