Infection Prevention 1-day Basic Course
This full day in person training provides Infection Preventionists at skilled nursing facilities with education to prevent healthcare associated infections. Topics include Microbiology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Cleaning and Disinfection, Antibiotic and Diagnostic Stewardship, Quality Improvement, Outbreaks and Surveillance, Precautions and Cohorting, Infection Control Plans, and Risk Assessments.
- March 19, 2026 from 8 AM - 5 PM.
- Registration is required to attend.
San Diego Skilled Nursing Facility Infection Prevention (SNF IP) Collaborative
- Started in September 2022.
- Meets every 4th Wednesday of Jan, May, Jul, Sept, and Nov from 11 AM - 12 PM.
