AIS Advisory Council

The Aging & Independence Services (AIS) Advisory Council looks at ways to strengthen the aging support network and operations. It serves as the voice of consumers and community experts to maximize the delivery of AIS services as the County advances the regional Live Well San Diego vision to ensure all San Diegans are healthy, safe, and thriving. 

Notice of Public Hearing for Area Plan Update Fiscal Year 2026-27

The County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, Aging & Independence Services (AIS) will hold a Public Hearing as part of the process for Area Plan Update Fiscal Year 2026-27. AIS is designated Area Agency on Aging for Planning and Service Area (PSA) #23 [San Diego County] by the California Department of Aging.

What: A meeting to review the annual updates to the “Area Plan Update Fiscal Year 2026-27” for the upcoming year.

When : 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Where: County Operations Center, at 5560 Overland Avenue, 3rd floor, San Diego, CA  92123.

Why: The Area Plan outlines the department’s yearly goals and estimates the services that will be provided to older adults and people with disabilities in San Diego County.
