GOOD RETAIL PRACTICES
Good Retail Practices (GRPs) are preventive measures that include practices and procedures that effectively control the introduction of pathogens, chemicals and physical objects into food. If GRPs are not implemented, they could contribute to foodborne illness.
GRADE CARD, SIGNS, LAST INSPECTION REPORT AVAILABLE
Examples violating good retail practices include a restaurant not having a copy of the most recent routine inspection report or the permit is not posted in a conspicuous location.
REQUIREMENTS
- A copy of the most recent routine inspection report must be made available to customers (§113725.1)
- Handwashing signs shall be posted at hand sinks (§113953.5)
- No smoking signs shall be posted in food preparation, food storage, warewashing, and utensil storage areas (§113978)
- Permit and grade card posted [§114381(e), SDCC 61.108]
